# Prompt — "Ladder Safety" animated explainer (build from scratch)

Copy everything between the rules into a fresh project. It reproduces the piece end to end: one continuous animated world, close-up insets, a 3-question quiz, and a voiceover-ready script.

---

Build a **60–105 second animated training explainer** on **ladder safety for field technicians**, as a single continuous motion-graphic composition. No company, logo, or brand references anywhere — this is a generic "Field Safety Series · Module 04."

## Format & engine
- 1920×1080, authored on **one timeline as a continuous composition**: a single element tree rendered as a pure function of one time axis, so elements persist, move, and morph across scene boundaries rather than cutting between separate slides. Declare the scene list as data (name + duration + one-line description per scene) so scenes stay trimmable.
- Everything is HTML/CSS/SVG driven by that clock. No video footage, no stock imagery, no illustrative character art.
- Motion vocabulary: `easeOutCubic` for entrances, `easeInOutCubic` for camera moves and draw-ons, a slight overshoot (`easeOutBack`) for pops. Everything eases; nothing snaps.

## Visual system
- Palette: warm paper `#F4F1EA`, sky `#E9E4D8`, ink `#1B2430`, secondary ink `#4E5867`, charcoal panels `#141A22`, **safety amber `#F2A33A`** as the single accent (deep amber `#A85F00` for amber text on light), red `#D9432F` reserved for hazards only. Max two background fields.
- Type: condensed grotesque for headlines and pills (Barlow Condensed), humanist sans for body and captions (Barlow). Nothing under 24px; headline stats 96–170px.
- Style: flat, diagrammatic, geometric — a technical illustration that moves. No gradients, no drop-shadow soup, no emoji, no hand-drawn SVG figures. People are represented as **abstract dots and capsules** (limb contact points), never drawn characters.

## The world (one persistent set, side elevation)
A single side-view scene that every section is staged inside:
- A house wall on the right with clapboard lines, two windows, a roof edge and eave.
- Ground plane with a soil band; a utility pole and **overhead power line** crossing the upper left.
- A **service van with a roof rack** that drives in from the left, parks, and drives out at the end. The ladder physically lives on the rack, comes off it, and returns to it.
- A **camera** that pans and zooms by keyframes (start tight ~2.0× on the ladder foot, pull out to 1.0× for the wide, push to ~1.45× for the set-up section, return to 1.0× for the close). Interpolate keyframes with an ease so the camera never jumps.

## Scene-by-scene storyboard
1. **Open (~5 s)** — Charcoal panel: "Field Safety Series" tag, "Module 04 · Technician training", huge "LADDER SAFETY" title, an amber rule that draws in, and a footer line. The panel then slides up off the top to reveal the world (a real transition, not a cut).
2. **Why it matters (~12 s)** — A ladder set far too steep against the wall **pivots at its foot and tips backward**, with a ground-impact ring and a brief camera shake. Ripple rings pulse out. Big type: "SIX FEET." / "That's all it takes for a fall to be fatal." Then: "Most ladder falls are **set-up** failures."
3. **Stakes (~5 s)** — Camera pulls out to the wide; the world dims slightly and three outlined pill chips rise in: *Your safety · Compliance · The customer's home*.
4. **Inspect & prepare (~12 s)** — The van drives in with the ladder on the rack. Three cards slide in from the left, each with an amber check that pops, and each paired with an **in-world indicator** that draws at the same moment: ladder condition (ring on the rack), ground quality (amber footprint box on the ground), power line (red dashed clearance line from the wall to the wire with a "10 FT MINIMUM" pill).
5. **Set the ladder (~14 s)** — Camera pushes in. The ladder, now against the wall, **pivots about its top contact point** from too-steep to the correct angle while its foot slides out — the same object continuously repositioning. Dashed dimension lines draw up the wall and out along the ground with "4 UP" and "1 OUT" pills. The ladder then **extends upward** past the roof edge, with two amber ticks and a "3 FT ABOVE THE EDGE" pill. An amber tie-off dot pops at the top contact.
6. **Climbing (~13 s)** — Three **close-up inset cards** appear on the right while the background world dims behind them. Each is a labelled diagram with a "CLOSE-UP" eyebrow, a title, and pill notes that appear in sequence:
   - *Three points of contact* — a vertical ladder section with four limb dots; exactly one dot lifts and re-plants at a time, cycling, with a "3 of 4" counter.
   - *Belt buckle between the rails* — an amber safe corridor between the rails; the body capsule leans out past it, turns red, and a ✕ appears.
   - *Never the top two rungs* — a red "no-go zone" band at the top; the climber rises and **stops** at the third rung from the top.
7. **Wrap (~5 s)** — Ladder returns to the roof rack, van drives out, the charcoal panel slides back up from the bottom.
8. **Quiz (~30 s)** — On the charcoal panel, three questions in sequence. For each: the question in large condensed caps, three lettered options (A/B/C) as outlined rows, then a **3-second countdown ring** (amber stroke unwinding around a numeral, labelled "THINK"), then the reveal — correct row turns amber with a ✓, wrong rows fade back — plus a one-line reason underneath.
   - "What is the correct ladder set-up ratio?" → 2:1 / **4:1** / 6:1 — *Four feet up for every one foot out — about 75 degrees.*
   - "How far above the roof edge should the ladder reach?" → 1 ft / **3 ft** / 6 ft — *Three feet above the edge, and tie it off.*
   - "How many points of contact while climbing?" → One / Two / **Three** — *Three of four limbs on the ladder at all times. Move one at a time.*
9. **Close (~6 s)** — Same panel layout as the open, now "Module 04 · Complete" and "Set it right. Climb it right. Every time."

## Supporting layers
- **Captions**: a centred, rounded, near-opaque white caption pill at the bottom carrying the narration line by line, max ~62% width, 38px. Make it toggleable so it can be switched off once a voiceover is added.
- A small persistent "Field Safety Series" tag in a top corner, which hides during the set-up section so it never collides with the dimension callouts.
- Tweak controls for: captions on/off, and any variant toggles you add.

## Voiceover
Also produce a **timecoded voiceover script** matching the scenes, ~135 wpm, in a calm, peer-to-peer senior-technician voice (not announcer energy). Include the quiz question and answer wording, with the 3 seconds after each question left silent for the timer. Deliver the quiz lines as separately exportable blocks (Q1, A1, Q2, A2, Q3, A3) plus one block for the story and one for the closer, so audio can be dropped in per cue.
- If a recording is supplied, **retime the animation to it**: analyze the audio for pause boundaries, then warp the animation clock so each beat lands on its line, rather than asking the voice to match the animation.

## Content rules
- Every number and rule stated on screen must be spoken, and vice versa — no orphan facts.
- No filler sections, no decorative stats, no padding. If a section feels empty, fix the layout, don't add content.
- Verify safety figures against a real standard before publishing; treat the copy above as structure, not authority.
